2012 Beef Queen and Princess Contest

 

 

Mission Statement: Help promote and strengthen the beef industry.

Help promote and strengthen the beef industry.

Eligibility:

1. Contestants must be unmarried, not in a family way and age 16 to 20 inclusive if running for queen and 12 to 15 if running for the princess, as of January 1, 2013.

2. The contestant must live on a farm where cattle or beef are produced, or her parents must derive part of their income from the production of cattle or beef, or she must have a beef project in 4-H or FFA.

3. Participants will be decided by the CMTCA board. We suggest if there is more than one contestant an alternate will be named.

Selection:

1. Applicants must submit: a copy of the completed application, and one picture (preferably vertical head and shoulder shot (i.e. graduation or school picture).

2. Mail the completed entry to: Mary Alice Conkle-Sigler at 9875 Stroup Rd. Hanoverton, OH 44423. Complete entry must be postmarked by December 31, 2011.

3. Each contestant will have a private interview with three judges. 4. Contestants will be judged on the basis of personality and poise; her ability to express herself orally; her school, 4-H, FFA, FHA/HERO, church, and other activities; and her knowledge of the beef industry.

5. The CMTCA Beef Queen will receive a tiara to wear during her reign and a sash.

 

2013 CMTCA Beef Queen and Princess:

1. The newly named 2013 CMTCA Beef Queen and Princess are expected to attend as many official functions in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties as possible during their reign.

2. The CMTCA Beef Queen and Princess are to be available for press, television, radio, and public appearances for beef promotion at any time during the year.

3. When the Queen and Princess are representing the Beef Industry, she shall wear her sash at all times. Her tiara will be worn most of the time. The Queen and Princess do not have to wear it when it is not conducive to the situation she is in. The Queen and Princess are to use their best judgment. Also professional/appropriate dress is very important. Please ask what the proper attire is when scheduling an event if you are unsure.

4. The Ohio Beef Queen and Princess may be escorted by a member of the CMCTA at the necessary functions. Usually, the Queen and Princess will need to provide her own transportation to events.
